The Book Of Lies, is a project conceptual artist Eugenia Butler has been developing for the last 12 years, in collaboration with over 50 artists. The project, at present, is composed of 3 books containing original work by the artists, addressing questions posed by Eugenia Butler, with the intention to provoke awareness about our present and envision a desired future. The work includes drawings, paintings, collages, text, music, sound pieces, video pieces, live performances, and open conversations around a table.

The show for the retrospective of the work, the 3 books  exhibited together, addresses the idea of part to a whole.

Each art piece in every book is individual and original but it’s place in the project is as one voice in a collective dynamic. Each book develops around a vision within a context, as the books emerge in time they build up a collection.
